10 February - 3 March 2011

10 February 2011
Today, we continue the lesson about jazz. Mr Herry teach us about 12 bars blues. I think it's quite hard so I'll have to start practice this one at home. We also learnt new scale, called blues scale. It's more tricky than the usual one. I hope I can do well later in instrument class.

Instrument Class
Mr Herry gave us the example about 12 bars blues. Actually there's only 3 chord. C7, F7, and G7. And after that we're given time to practice. Then, we have to play it one by one in piano. I need to practice again at home.

Today, we listen to our own compisition 12 bars blues. Mr Herry played them one by one in piano. He also gave us some feedback. I need to work on my melody again because there are some note that don't fit with the chord. Next week we have to submit the finale.

Instrument Class
Today, I revise my 12 bars blues composition. There are many parts that need to be fixed again. I need to practice again at home.

1 March 2011
Today, we have to submit the finale of 12 bars blues composition. After that we rehearsed to perform our own composition in front of the class one by one. Although I already make the finale, I can't play it. I haven't prepared yet. Next lesson is the assessment so I better practice again at home.

Instrument Class
We play our own composition together in piano. I can't play it really well. I have to practice again at home.

3 March 2011
Today, I submited my finale again. And today also the assessment day. We have to perform our blues composition. Unlike the previous assessment, this time we did it together. I partnered with Emily. I think maybe I did okay. Although I feel like want to redo it. The guitar group as well as violin and woodwind group did very well.
